About This Spot

Stepping into Lavash Cafe, you immediately sense a warm, inviting energy that strikes a rare balance between a cozy neighborhood eatery and a vibrant Mediterranean gathering spot. Though indoor seating is modest, the spacious patio unfolds a relaxed pace beneath the sun, where laughter and conversation meander alongside the steady hum of friendly service. It’s a place where the simplicity of good company and thoughtfully prepared food creates a quietly joyful atmosphere.

The rhythm here is unhurried yet attentive—guests select their meals at the counter and settle in with a reassuring sense that each plate will arrive thoughtfully composed and generous in portion. The air is laced with the comforting aromas of fresh herbs and smoky grilled skewers, punctuated by the unmistakable warmth of freshly baked lavash bread. Whether it's the silky smoothness of their house-made hummus or the subtle dance of flavors in grape leaves and perfectly seasoned rice, each bite speaks to care and authenticity rather than flashiness.

Lavash Cafe holds a subtle magnetism for those who savor food as a shared experience, where every detail—from a crisp side salad to the drizzle of tahini sauce—invites you to slow down and savor moments of connection. The attentive staff extends a genuine warmth, making both newcomers and longtime visitors feel like they’ve found a reliable, thoughtful refuge in the heart of Columbus.

Beyond the food, the space hums with welcoming energy, enhanced by convenient parking and a sense of familiar comfort that encourages lingering over a slow afternoon coffee or settling in for a lively evening meal. This is my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Columbus area. The portion sizes are generous. Expect to take leftovers home. The staff is friendly and helpful. Indoor seating is limited but there is plenty of patio seating. The entree dishes come with a pita basket and salad. The main dish has rice, side of sauce, and the protein. The rice is out of this world! I rank it the best I’ve had. The kebob and shawarma dishes were juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend!

I love this place so so much! I heard about this cafe from the Lavish music video by Twenty Øne Piløts and I’m so glad I decided to come here and try it out. The staff was so nice and when they found out we never had been there before, they gave us a bowl of hummus for free. The hummus was the best hummus I’ve ever had and it was so smooth. I ordered a Greek salad and I was in love with it. I also ordered this appetizer wrapped in grape leaves and it was different than I imagined but after I got used to it, it tasted good. I love this place so much it’s definitely a repeat and I think it’s so worth spending money on this place.

5 stars across the board isn’t enough! Lavash is a family favorite and long-time go to for us, other restaurants come close but it’s just not the same. I do think it’s a scam putting the bakery case by the registers and in front of my pickup order though. Chicken shawarma with their garlic sauce and the grape leaves are my favorite!

Saw this place featured in a Twenty Øne Piløts music video and wanted to try it out. I’m so happy I did! The staff were super kind and attentive. The food was delicious and the servings were huge! Luckily, we saved room for dessert and had the pistachio cream cake. The cafe itself was spacious and had outdoor and indoor seating. The parking lot was very convenient as this cafe is close to the college and student living. Definitely will have to eat here again!

Select table and order at counter where they will give you a number. Atmosphere is all hard surfaces. There is a separate dining area used during busier times as well as outdoor tables. Food quality is excellent. Pita bread is very fresh. Smoothies also excellent and do not contain dairy, unless you add whipped cream. Staff will clear your table.

Not the first time I've had Lavash, I ate it in the past with college colleagues. However on this occasion I was treated to dinner by an associate and it was great, I enjoyed the food on my plate. Lentil Rice, Chicken Kabobs, Pita Bread, and Hummus. The food was good however my vegetables on my kabobs were a little over grilled; blackened. But nevertheless everything was still tasteful. I even sampled some food from my friend's plate, a lamb chop which was good.

We visited the restaurant for the first time on Eid al-Adha, and it was a wonderful experience and was truly memorable filled with warmth and hospitality. The food was outstanding, and the hospitality was exceptional. What made our experience even more special was Mr. Abu Jamal, the owner. Mr. Abu Jamal, the owner, stood out for his graciousness and attentiveness. No words of gratitude can do him justice for his kindness, respect, and excellent treatment of his customers. He treated each customer like honored guests in his home, personally checking in on tables to ensure satisfaction and providing top-notch service. He even offered us complimentary desserts and tea, creating a sense of togetherness and warmth that fit perfectly with the festive atmosphere of Eid.
